CAN I FLOAT DURING MY MENSTRUAL CYCLE

We recommend avoiding floating during your menstruation cycle for comfort and hygiene reasons. Using a tampon or menstrual cup may not be sufficient for everyone, and we want you to have the best experience possible. Additionally, if you’ve recently dyed your hair, it’s best to wait a few days until the colour has rinsed out before floating to avoid any staining of the float tanks. If you have any questions or concerns, we are here to support you please reach out!

CAN PREGNANT WOMEN FLOAT

Yes, many pregnant women can benefit from floating!  The Magnesium Sulphate is absorbed by the skin providing countless benefits. The gravity free environment alleviates pressure from the joints that carrying the baby creates on the mother’s body. Some women have reported being able to hear their baby’s heart beat while floating. You can always start with shorter sessions. We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before your float session, especially if you have any specific concerns or complications.

IF I AM CLAUSTROPHIC CAN I FLOAT
Yes, you can still enjoy floating even if you’re claustrophobic! Our float tanks are designed to be spacious, and you can leave the lid open during your session if that makes you more comfortable. The experience can be very relaxing and may even help reduce feelings of anxiety. If you have any concerns, please feel free to reach out, and we can discuss your options to ensure you have a positive experience!
WHAT HAPPENS IF I FALL ASLEEP
Many people find the experience so relaxing that they drift off. The tank is designed to keep you safe, and the water’s buoyancy helps support your body. You will feel Amazing upon waking!

I HAVE JUST DYED MY HAIR / USED FAKE TAN CAN I FLOAT
If you have recently dyed your hair please wait until the colour starts washing out and if you have had a spray tan you will need to wait at least 10 days after having the tan.  Dyes and fake tan ruin the pod water and stains the pod surface. A cleaning fee will be charged if there is damage due to staining from dyes or tan.
DO I WEAR EAR PLUGS WHILE FLOATING
As your ears will be submerged in water during your float session, it is recommended to use ear plugs whilst floating to help avoid salt water getting into your ears. If your ear plugs fall out during your float, do not re-insert them whilst under water, sit up and safely insert them again. You can also easily rinse your ears in the post-float shower if you choose not wear ear plugs or they fall out.
